Compliance with Francization Requirements

Since the Charter of the French Language was amended with the introduction of Bill 96, An Act respecting French, the official and common language of Québec on June 1, 2022, all organizations and businesses have been called upon to promote and protect the French language in Quebec.

As such, SIRCO is registered with the Office québécois de la langue française and complies with its francization obligations. The French language is central to our daily operations, and we believe this new legal requirement is a step forward in strengthening its vitality.

Applicable Laws

Use of the Site is governed by the laws and courts of the province of Quebec and by applicable Canadian legislation. Any dispute arising between you and SIRCO or any other person as a result of or in connection with the Site, its Terms of Use or any related content will be resolved before the courts of Quebec, and you hereby irrevocably submit to these courts and consent to their exclusive jurisdiction in respect of all disputes.

SIRCO manages its use of personal information in accordance with the standards provided for in the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information (R.S.Q., c. A-2.1).

User Code of Ethics

Respectful communications

SIRCO has made respect a priority in its communications. Users of its Site are encouraged to follow the same principle when communicating with its staff members by email or telephone.  SIRCO also expects users to refrain from attacking others personally, using inflammatory language or engaging in fights with staff members. SIRCO managers and users are also required to uphold this principle of respect in all forms of online communication, including informative content, visual content (infographics, photographs, etc.), chats and comments.

Rules of good conduct
