Geneviève Chauvin began her career as a security guard in institutional and public settings. After earning a bachelor’s degree in homeland security and police studies and a certificate in investigation and intelligence, she completed her master’s thesis in criminology on police interventions targeting cryptocurrency markets. She is also interested in the dark web, hackers and cryptocurrency markets. Before she joined the SIRCO team full time, she also worked as a research and teaching assistant for courses in security, private investigation and crisis management. Geneviève Chauvin started at SIRCO as an investigative analyst and later joined the Computer Forensic Investigations Division.
