Valérie Bergeron is a coordinator in the Analysis, Operational Support, Research and Intelligence Department. Ms. Bergeron has a bachelor’s degree in security and police studies from the Université de Montréal and began her professional career at SIRCO in January 2020. She started in the Loss Prevention Department as part of her university internship, assisting with various cases, collecting and analyzing data, identifying security issues and recommending solutions.
Ms. Bergeron was hired at SIRCO in May 2020 and began her career in the Research and Intelligence Department as an investigative analyst. She was responsible for acquiring, analyzing and ensuring the reliability of data to assist with investigations. She then worked as an operational support investigative analyst, providing support to departmental directors on various types of investigations. She conducted many searches and contributed to major investigations. She was required to write and verify reports while expediently ensuring that the evidence on file was provided to clients. She also ensured that a meticulous forensic methodology was followed on tailing, surveillance and infiltration cases. Ms. Bergeron distinguished herself on several infiltration assignments and is regularly involved as an investigator on specific assignments.
As a coordinator in the Analysis, Operational Support, Research and Intelligence Department, Ms. Bergeron ensures that the department runs smoothly, participates in investigations and performs various administrative case management tasks
